Pastor Charles Raasch

Pastor Charles Raasch grew up in Milwaukee and attended Wisconsin Lutheran High School where his father served for many years as a teacher and coach. He received his B.A. from Northwestern College in 1984 and his M.Div. degree from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 1988. He completed his Masters of Sacred Theology degree in 1999 from the same Seminary.

Pastor Raasch enjoys family time with his children (especially losing to his girls in Monopoly), participating in sports (hockey is the latest venture), and attempting to plant the perfect garden.

Pastor Jonathan Learman

Pastor Learman grew up in Friendswood, TX, and is the sixth of seven children in his family. He attended Luther Preparatory School in Watertown, WI, Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI, where he received his Masters of Divinity. In 2008, during his vicar year (internship) in Largo, MD, Pastor Learman met his beautiful wife, Jamie. They were married in 2009.   

Before coming to Morning Star, Pastor Learman previously served St. Peter’s and Zion Lutheran Churches in Theresa, WI from 2009-2023.  

Pastor Learman and Jamie are blessed parents to three daughters: Mikaela, Kathryn, and Lydia, and have a lazy but lovable chocolate lab named Bailey. Pastor enjoys, baseball, softball, golf, working out, reading, walks with his family, traveling when possible, cooking, nerding out on anything history related, and watching the Houston Astros.
