Esther: For Such a Time as This

led by Pastor Jon Learman

LOCATION: Gymnasium
LENGTH: 8 sessions
DAY/TIME: Sundays from 9:20-10:15am
DATES: January 18th to March 8th

The Book of Esther is unique among the books of the Old Testament, in that not once is the name of God mentioned. Far from being a deeply theological book, it's a historical narrative recording a period of peril and danger for God's people, and the courageous actions of a woman who was placed in a position to do something about it. Though we may not read the name "Lord" in its pages, the Lord of History is clearly seen guiding the actions of individuals and the events of history to preserve the people through whom he would bring the Savior. The Book of Esther is a story of how evil, greed, and deception were overcome by courage and strength, with the hand of the Lord guiding it all.

Exodus

led by Pastor Charles Raasch

LOCATION: Fireside Chapel
LENGTH: 8 sessions
DAY/TIME: Sundays from 9:20-10:15am
DATES: January 18th to March 8th

As much as any book of Scripture, Exodus reveals God—God as he acts, God in relationship to his people, God who frees and saves. Here God is more than the Creator, more than the King of the universe, more than the beginner of things. In Exodus God is revealed in his eternal nature as Judge and Deliverer. In the Exodus event, both the hand of God’s justice and the saving, loving hand of God are clearly made known. The themes of judgment and deliverance, so vital to the account of Exodus, become themes carried throughout Scripture, culminating in Christ himself. Join us as we connect with Israel’s journey from slavery in Egypt to the promised land flowing with milk and honey, pausing along the way to grow in our appreciation for God’s saving plan.

DAY/TIME: Sundays from 9:20-10:15am
DATES: March 22nd, 29th, April 12th, 19th, May 3rd, 10th, 17th

Prayer is an act of worship in which believers talk to God from their hearts. When it comes to our communication skills, most people admit there’s always room for improvement. So, how is your prayer life going? How can I “chat” with God even more? This prayer Bible study presents what Scripture teaches about this important gift from God. We will examine our conversations with the Lord, and explore ways to grow in our communication connection with him.

JOY: A Study of Philippians<br>(A Women's Ministry Bible Study)

JOY: A Study of Philippians
(A Women's Ministry Bible Study)

led by Jennifer Mueller

LOCATION: Fireside Chapel
LENGTH: 4 sessions
DAY/TIME: Tuesdays from 7-8:30pm
DATES: January 20th to February 10th

Rejoice! Every day. Sure, we find joy in our triumphs, but not so much in the trials. Yet real joy, genuine joy, is always ours in the saving grace of Christ Jesus. This close look at Paul's Letter to the Philippians, the "letter of joy," unpacks messages of contentment, confidence, humility, and hope-all found in Christ and infused with joy-in the mountaintop moments and in the mundane.

The book is divided into eight sessions. We focused on the first four sessions in the fall of 2025 study and this winter we will continue on with the next four sessions (5-8). Feel free to join us whether you participated in the fall or not!

Due to the fact that books will need to be purchased for this study (if you do not already own a copy), we ask that you let us know you intend to participate in this study. Please sign up (even if you do not require a book) no later than Thursday, January 15th by clicking HERE.

The men will be studying Paul’s “prison epistles” or “captivity letters” to the Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon. While imprisoned in Rome, waiting to hear of his appeal to the emperor, probably a period of two years from A.D 61 to 63, he wrote four letters. Join us as we study what the Lord’s inspired “ambassador in chains” wrote. Contact Bill Truebenbach at billtruebenbach26@gmail.com with any questions.
