"Ride the Wave" Summer Day Camp

The theme for summer 2026 comes from Isaiah 43:2 —“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you."

When: Monday, July 13 - Thursday, July 16, 2026
            (4K children camp will be from 9am-11:30pm; 5K-5th grade will be from 9am-3pm) 
Who: All children entering 4K - 5th grade in the Fall of 2026* 
Where: Morning Star Lutheran Church
Cost: $25 per 4K child (includes all supplies and a morning snack)   
$40 per 5K-5th grade child (includes all supplies, snack and lunch)  
*When registering, please list the grade the child will be entering in Fall of 2026

Explore God’s Word and enjoy all the fun of camp without the travel!  Vacation Day Camp is a Christ-centered week of hands-on activities, adventures, crafts, games,  Bible stories, singing and snacks. From the opening to the closing program, staff from Camp  Phillip (a Christian youth camp located in Wautoma, WI) and Morning Star will bring important  life lessons to young campers. Under the theme, “Ride the Wave”, children will experience a  fun-filled week of activities centered around our Savior Jesus.

Created and organized by Camp Phillip in Wautoma, WI, Vacation Day Camp is a Bible Camp for children in PreK-age 4 to 5th grade (fall 2026 grades). Camp Phillip provides trained adult and high school staff members who will serve here on site for the week of July 13-16. These staff members will partner with Morning Star volunteers for a week of Christ-centered activities including God's Word, crafts, games, snacks and singing. We are truly blessed to hold this fun-filled Christ-centered event for a second year in a row.

4K Daily (Morning Only) Schedule
8:45-9:00 arrive and check-in (in PK classroom)  
9:00-9:40 opening program* (in the gym)  
9:40-11:30 activities – story, game, snack, craft & closing arrive and check-in (in PK classroom)

5K Daily Schedule
8:45-9:00 campers arrive & check-in with counselors  
9:00-9:40 opening program*  
9:45-11:40 morning activity stations**  
11:45-12:10 all camp game  
12:15-12:45 lunch  
12:50-1:15 midday oasis (quiet time break)  
1:20-2:15 afternoon activity stations**  
2:20-3:00 closing program*    
* Parents and family members are invited to join campers for the opening (9:00-9:40) and closing  (2:20-3:00) programs each day held in the gym.  
** Activity stations consist of 25-minute sessions involving hands-on activities, adventures,  crafts, games, Bible stories, singing and snacks.
