“The Word Became Flesh”  A Brief Study of the Gospel of John

LOCATION: Church

DATES: 7 sessions: Sundays from 9:20-10:15am, September 10 to October 22

DESCRIPTION: Perhaps no other book of the Bible has had such a profound effect on so many people as the gospel of John. Written sometime after the first three gospels, it apparently takes for granted a knowledge of their contents. It offers otherwise unrecorded details of Jesus’ teachings, miracles, and life. On one hand this gospel offers a simple and clear statement of salvation (John 3:16). On the other hand, it brings us face-to-face with God himself, peering into the depths of his incomprehensible being. Join us for this important Bible study as we embrace together its simple purpose: “These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” (John 20:31).
