“It is a privilege to serve at Morning Star. I consider myself blessed to be able to share God’s Word with children. It is truly a joy to see how they express their faith. 'Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.'"  Colossians 3:15-17, NIV - Kim Zaporski

Kim graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. Upon graduation, she received a call to Good Shepherd in Sioux Falls, SD, to start a new school, teaching grades 1-8. During her years of teaching, she has also served at St. Jacobi, Greenfield, WI, grades 3-4; Trinity, Caledonia, WI, substitute teaching; and David’s Star, Jackson, WI, first grade instruction and substitute teaching.
Kim has been with Morning Star since its beginning in 1995. Kim currently serves as Morning Star’s 3-4 grade teacher and also teaches 7-8 grade literature. She is involved in the extended education program and has provided summer school sessions and after school tutoring.
