Melanie earned her Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, in 1997.  She taught lower elementary grades for 1 1/2 years at Crown of Life Lutheran School in Hubertus, WI, before leaving the teaching ministry to be a stay at home mom.   In 2009 Melanie reentered the workforce as Morning Star's church secretary.

Melanie enjoys serving the Lord and others through her duties in the church office.  It is truly apparent in her life that God has generously blessed her by allowing her to serve in this aspect of his ministry.  As Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
